CHANGE MONITORING · API FIRST
Know when a page really changes.
Screenshot and raw-HTML diffs fire on rotating banners, timestamps and ad slots. Page & Price Watch compares only what you care about — the readable text, the price, or one section you choose — and emails you when that changes.
Three ways to watch
- Text — the page's readable content as clean text. Ignore patterns let you drop dates, counters or other lines you expect to move.
- Price — the price, currency and availability published in the page's structured product data (schema.org). Pages without that data are not supported in this mode.
- Selector — a CSS selector you choose, such as a pricing table or a terms section. You can also exclude selectors, like an ad slot.
What you get
- An email when a watched value changes, and a change history you can read through the API.
- A REST API: add, update, list and remove watches; read events. Your Polar license key is your API key.
- Pages are fetched and rendered on Apify infrastructure, then reduced to a short value before comparison.
Good to know
Page & Price Watch is API first: there is no web dashboard yet, so you manage watches with a few HTTP requests. Checks run on a schedule (every 6 hours on Starter, as often as every 3 hours on Pro), not continuously. It reads public pages only — it does not log in, solve CAPTCHAs or bypass access controls, and after three failed checks in a row a watch is marked degraded and you get an email, instead of it failing silently.
Start in one request
After purchase, find your license key in the Polar customer portal, then:
curl -X POST https://pagewatch.chimeramind.com/v1/watches -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY" -H "content-type: application/json" -d '{"url":"https://example.com/pricing","mode":"text"}'
Billing, invoices and cancellation are handled by Polar, our merchant of record. Prices exclude any taxes shown at checkout.
